[Hiring] Virtual Financial Aid Officer @Aquila Software Group

Role Description

Reporting to the Financial Aid Officer Team Lead, we are hiring a Virtual Financial Aid Officer to join our growing Virtual Financial Aid Office. As our new Virtual Financial Aid Officer, you will independently manage hands-on Title IV financial aid processing for students enrolled in clock-hour programs. Your responsibilities include:

• Reviewing FAFSAs, determining and verifying eligibility.
• Completing awarding and packaging.
• Processing ISIR corrections and disbursements.
• Performing calculations and completing professional judgments and dependency overrides.
• Communicating directly with schools and students, providing responsive support.

This is a full-time, remote role based in the United States with working hours from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time.

Qualifications

• The regulatory knowledge. Extensive knowledge of Title IV federal student aid regulations and compliance requirements for clock-hour schools.
• The financial aid processing expertise. Experience administering Title IV financial aid for clock-hour programs.
• The analytical skills and attention to detail. Strong analytical skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• The customer service and financial counselling skills. Commitment to providing responsive customer service and clear financial aid counselling.
• The communication skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• The collaboration. Comfortable working independently within a collaborative remote team.
• The systems and technology skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable working across financial aid management systems.

Requirements

• Independently manage financial aid processing for students enrolled in clock-hour programs.
• Apply federal student aid requirements throughout the financial aid process.
• Work across FAME's two service models, communicating directly with schools and students.
• Build trusted relationships with schools through regular communication.
• Investigate financial aid issues and determine appropriate next steps.
• Manage a detailed workload while meeting expectations for turnaround time, productivity, accuracy, and reliability.
