Role Description

The Underwriter II is a key participant in the underwriting process which includes the analysis of credit reports, bank statements, and various other business documentation.

• Responsible for analysis of personal credit reports, business bank statements, background checks, and other relevant business documents, data gathering and research.
• Exposed to deal flow in a variety of industries including retail, leisure, restaurants, hospitality, healthcare, manufacturers, media, technology, and construction.
• Act as a key participant in the underwriting process which includes the analysis of credit reports, bank statements, and various other business documentation.
• Research, analyze and provide background information on counterparties.
• Communicate with sales organizations, sales managers, and merchants in both written and verbal form.
• Assist in the negotiation of transaction terms and credit structure.
• Responsibilities are subject to change to best suit the needs and interests of the business.

Qualifications

• Diploma required, college degree preferred.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills as well as a strong sense of accountability.
• Detail oriented with strong analytical skills.
• Ability to evaluate industry trends, understand market dynamics and develop and defend recommendations.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task.
• Ability and desire to work in a rapid-paced environment.
• Experience achieving metric and quality performance.

Requirements

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Suite.
• Knowledge of financial principles and processes, experience with financial statement analysis.
• Knowledge of federal, state and local regulatory requirements.
• Effective at communicating clearly and adaptability.
• Experience with administrative tasks.
• Strong interpersonal skills and professionalism.
