  • Map current-state processes, identify gaps and failure points, and establish clear future-state workflows, ownership, decision rights, and controls.
  • Reduce reliance on manual reconciliations, disconnected spreadsheets, inconsistent definitions, and one-off reporting processes.
  • Establish common financial taxonomies and definitions so Technology and Finance have a consistent view of costs, commitments, forecasts, and variances.
  • Improve the flow and reconciliation of information between Technology operational processes and financial systems.
  • Develop repeatable monthly and quarterly operating rhythms for reviewing forecasts, spend, commitments, risks, and opportunities.
  • Identify opportunities to automate recurring reporting and financial processes using available data, analytics, and workflow capabilities.
  • Establish process documentation, metrics, and controls that improve data quality, timeliness, consistency, and accountability.
  • Lead cross-functional improvement initiatives requiring coordination across Technology, Finance, Strategic Sourcing, vendors, and delivery teams.
  • Measure whether redesigned processes are delivering tangible improvements in forecast predictability, reporting cycle time, data quality, financial visibility, cost control, and decision-making.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and 7 years of experience in management consulting, corporate finance, strategic finance, finance transformation, or technology financial management, with experience solving complex business and financial problems and 1 year of people management experience, OR 11 years of experience in management consulting, corporate finance, strategic finance, finance transformation, or technology financial management, with experience solving complex business and financial problems and 1 year of people management experience.
  • Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, cost management, and management reporting.

  • Experience developing and implementing operating models, processes, governance, controls, and reporting frameworks across complex organizations.
  • Ability to analyze complex financial and operational data and translate findings into clear recommendations and decisions for senior leaders.
  • Experience developing business cases, scenario analyses, cost-benefit analyses, and executive-level financial reporting.
  • Ability to connect financial information with operational drivers such as workforce capacity, technology consumption, vendor commitments, project activity, and business priorities.
  • Strong financial and analytical capabilities, including advanced proficiency with Excel and experience with financial reporting, data analysis, and visualization.
  • Demonstrated ability to bring structure to ambiguous problems, challenge existing processes, and drive cross-functional change from problem identification through implementation.
  • Ability to partner effectively across Technology, Finance, Strategic Sourcing/Procurement, vendors, and business leadership.
  • Strong executive communication and presentation skills, including the ability to simplify complex financial and operational issues into actionable insights.
  • Experience in management consulting, finance transformation, technology strategy, or Technology/IT finance, a plus.
