This internship is an excellent opportunity for a student or recent graduate to gain practical, real-world experience in corporate finance and accounting.</p> <p><strong>What you will do:</strong></p> <p><strong>Financial Analysis and Reporting:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Assist in analyzing financial data, identifying trends, and providing insights to support business decision-making</li> <li>Support the preparation of financial reports, statements, and presentations for internal stakeholders</li> </ul> <p><strong>Accounting Operations and Month-End Close:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Assist with month-end close activities, including reconciliations and journal entries</li> <li>Help with accounts payable/receivable processes, including invoice processing and vendor management</li> </ul> <p><strong>Budgeting, Forecasting, and Process Improvements:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Participate in budgeting and forecasting activities</li> <li>Identify opportunities to enhance financial processes and support implementation efforts</li> <li>Help automate processes to improve efficiency</li> </ul> <p><strong>Cross-Functional Collaboration and Special Projects:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Work closely with various departments to support financial operations and decision-making</li> <li>Collaborate on special projects and process improvement initiatives</li> <li>Participate in project-related activities</li> </ul> <p><strong>Documentation and Compliance:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)</li> <li>Ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies in financial recordkeeping</li> <li>Perform other ad hoc duties as assigned by the finance team</li> </ul> <p><strong>What you need:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Currently enrolled in or recently graduated with a degree in finance, accounting, economics, or related field</li> <li>Basic knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting (preferred)</li> <li>Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail</li> <li>Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with financial software and tools</li> <li>Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively</li> <li>Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate in a team environment</li> <li>Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and adapt to new challenges</li> <li>A proactive mindset with a willingness to learn and contribute to the team’s success</li> </ul> <p><strong>What you get:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Gain hands on experience in financial reporting and accounting operations</li> <li>Develop accounting skills through real-world projects, mentorship, and learning opportunities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment</li> <li>Collaborate with accounting professionals and cross-functional teams to build valuable industry connections</li> <li>Contribute to process improvements and efficiency initiatives within the finance department</li> <li>Gain experience working with accounting software, ERP systems, and financial analysis tools</li> <li>Work alongside a supportive finance team that values input, encourages contributions, and fosters continuous learning</li> </ul> <p><strong>Other Position Details:</strong></p> <ul> <li>$17 - $18 per hour, depending on experience</li> <li>25-40 hours per week (flexible, Monday through Friday, based on scheduling)</li> <li>2 full months – June 1st, 2026 through August 7^th, 2026</li> <li>End of internship presentation to company leadership (last week)</li> <li>First round interviews will begin in mid-January</li> </ul> <p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p> <p><strong>Note:&nbsp; </strong></p> <p>AffirmedRx is committed to providing equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment.
