Role Description
eClerx is seeking an experienced Trade Finance professional responsible for the processing and management of Standby Letters of Credit (SBLC) and Documentary Letters of Credit in accordance with international trade regulations such as UCP 600 and ISP98. The role involves coordinating with internal stakeholders and clients, ensuring compliance with regulatory and bank policies, reviewing trade documentation, and supporting efficient transaction processing while maintaining strong risk controls and operational accuracy.

Responsible for the efficient and accurate processing of Standby Letter of Credit aligned with the Uniform Customs and Practice for Documentary Credits (2007 Revision (UCP600) or International Standby Practices (ISP98), in line with the Bank Policy and Procedures.

Ensure that process controls are performed in accordance with SLA, as well with Bank Policy and Procedures.

Liaison between Front Office, Back Office, Clients and other internal Stakeholders, answering or channeling questions to ensure the timely processing and accurate reporting of Trade and GTB products.

Examination of documents (SBLC and Commercial Letters of Credits).

Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Ensure Letter of credits deals meet internal and external compliance requirements (AML, Anti-Boycott) and credit risk policies.

Ensure that LC Documents are prepared properly and distributed efficiently.

Review and execute LC drawdown requests to ensure transactions comply with LC provisions.

Monitor transactions in identifying risks and reporting risk incidents in a timely manner and provide/implementing mitigation strategies.
Qualifications

Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).

Strong organizational and analytical skills with the ability to multi-task.

Banking operations experience with knowledge of Trade Finance and Working Capital products, particularly in Documentary Trade and SBLC.

Strong knowledge of UCP 600, ISBP, and international trade practices.

Accounting knowledge related to deals booking and reconciliation.

SWIFT Knowledge (MT7xx messages) & Industry Trade Finance systems (e.g. Trade Innovation).

Organized and rigorous attention to detail with a control-oriented mindset.

Ability to drive innovation and continuous improvement in compliance processes.

Strong quantitative skills; proficient in data management and production of management reports and executive summaries.

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.
Requirements

In the US, the target base salary for this role is $75,000-$100,000. Compensation is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications, and geography. We expect the majority of candidates who are offered roles at our company to fall throughout the range based on these factors.
