[Hiring] Staff Accountant @Veta Virtual

Role Description

Veta Virtual is hiring a Staff Accountant for one of our high-growth clients in the Fintech and Cryptocurrency industry. This is a unique, forward-thinking accounting role built for someone who combines strong foundational accounting skills with a genuine understanding of cryptocurrency and blockchain — supporting digital asset accounting, monthly close processes, and financial reporting for one of the world's largest crypto kiosk networks.

Your Role:

• Support the Accounting and Finance team with a focus on cryptocurrency-related transactions, digital asset management, and monthly close processes.
• Prepare and maintain monthly rollforwards for BTC, ETH, LTC, and other supported digital assets.
• Reconcile wallet balances to blockchain data and internal subledgers.
• Perform fair market value (FMV) calculations and remeasurements for digital asset holdings.
• Process and account for crypto donations, rewards, and incentives.
• Prepare and post journal entries for month-end close.
• Maintain fixed asset registers and depreciation schedules.
• Develop spreadsheet reports, verify financial information, and reconcile accounts.
• Analyze current accounting policies and procedures and recommend improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
• At least 2 years of related accounting experience.
• Working knowledge of cryptocurrency and blockchain fundamentals.
• Solid understanding of GAAP and general financial accounting principles.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Experience with NetSuite or a similar ERP system is strongly preferred.
• Excellent organizational skills and sharp attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
• Bonus: passion for fintech and the evolving cryptocurrency landscape.
• Bonus: experience with Alteryx, Tableau, or similar data and BI tools.
• Bonus: exposure to multi-entity or international accounting environments.
