[Hiring] Staff Accountant @Swing Education

Role Description

As our Staff Accountant, you'll own billing and accounts receivable for a marketplace that fills hundreds of thousands of K-12 classroom absences each year, reporting to the Accounting Manager on a small, remote finance team. Billing is the core of the role:

• Weekly invoicing
• Daily cash application
• Credit memos
• Collections with school districts

On a team this size, you'll also contribute to:

• Monthly close
• Revenue recognition
• Financial reporting
• Annual audit

Qualifications

• Full-cycle billing and AR ownership
• Collections that strengthen relationships
• Sound judgment on disputes
• Close fundamentals
• Juggling deadlines without dropping details
• A builder's instinct for process
• Tools and background are a plus

Requirements

• Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills
• Experience with QuickBooks Online, Ordway, or Ramp
• Prior startup experience (especially at a tech-enabled marketplace or service business)
• Progress toward a CPA license
• Ability to help with accounts payable as needed
