[Hiring] Staff Accountant @Bally's Interactive

Role Description

Bally's Interactive is looking for a Staff Accountant who will play a key role in keeping the financial operations and reporting of assigned entities within the Interactive division running smoothly and accurately. This role sits right at the heart of it all, involving:

• Month-End & Financial Close
  • Prepare and post monthly journal entries with solid supporting documentation.
  • Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, ensuring accurate and timely recording.
  • Keep documentation organized and audit-ready at all times.
• Account Reconciliations
  • Perform monthly balance sheet account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
  • Monitor account activity to ensure balances are accurate and properly supported.
  • Escalate issues when needed and see them through to resolution.
• Internal Controls & Compliance
  • Adhere to internal control policies and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
  • Maintain thorough documentation to support audits and financial reviews.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes for efficiency.
• Cross-Functional Support
  • Collaborate with internal departments for accurate financial reporting.
  • Support ad-hoc reporting requests, financial analysis, and special projects.
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 2–4 years of accounting experience.
• Excellent understanding of general ledger accounting.
• Experience performing journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with Oracle or a similar ERP system is a plus.
• Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities.
