Role Description

A fast-growing independent wealth management firm in Southern California is expanding its tax consulting division and looking for a Senior Tax Consultant to join a small, high-performing team. This firm works with high-net-worth individuals, business owners, and family office clients — and their tax consulting practice goes beyond traditional compliance. The focus is proactive tax strategy and maximizing savings across complex financial pictures.

If you've spent your career doing returns and want to do more with that knowledge, this is the environment for it.

What the role looks like:

• You're the implementation side of the practice.
• A client gets onboarded into a tax strategy — you're the one who builds it, executes it, and owns the relationship from there.
• Quarterly client meetings, tax plan design and implementation, and a broad prep workload covering individual, trust, partnership, S-Corp, and C-Corp returns.
• Client-facing and technically hands-on.

Qualifications

• Active CPA or EA
• 5+ years of tax experience
• Multi-season prep across individual (1040), trust (1041), and entity returns (1065, 1120S, 1120)
• Client-facing experience with HNW individuals or business owners
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Requirements

• Family office or advanced tax strategy background (entity structuring, 1031 exchanges, accountable plans) - Nice to have
• Experience at a wealth management firm, RIA, or boutique tax advisory practice - Nice to have

Benefits

• $100,000 – $130,000 base salary
• Fully remote
