Role Description

Are you a tax professional who enjoys solving complex financial challenges and working across a global organization? Lionbridge is seeking a Senior Tax Associate to join our Corporate Tax team, supporting tax provision, compliance, and reporting activities across our international business. In this role, you'll work closely with U.S. and India-based colleagues to manage federal and multi-state tax requirements, support international tax initiatives, and ensure accurate financial reporting. You'll also have the opportunity to guide junior team members, improve tax processes, and contribute to projects that strengthen our global tax operations. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys balancing tax compliance, problem-solving, and collaboration in a dynamic corporate environment.

What You Will Do

  • Prepare annual federal and state income tax provision calculations under ASC 740, including current and deferred tax computations, book-to-tax differences, uncertain tax positions, and supporting documentation.
  • Prepare and review federal and multi-state corporate income tax returns, estimated tax payments, and extensions while supporting international tax compliance activities.
  • Maintain deferred tax asset and liability roll forwards, tax provision workpapers, and supporting schedules to ensure accurate reporting and compliance.
  • Research federal and state tax regulations, respond to tax notices and audits, and evaluate legislative changes that may impact the company's tax positions.
  • Collaborate with Accounting, Finance, and other internal teams on tax-related matters, including sales tax, 1099 reporting, business registrations, and special projects.
  • Partner with U.S. and India-based Corporate Tax colleagues, providing guidance to junior team members while identifying opportunities to improve processes, automate workflows, and increase operational efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field, preferably with 2–5 years of relevant tax experience in public accounting, corporate tax, or a combination of both; CPA or Master's in Taxation (MST) preferred.
  • Strong working knowledge of ASC 740 income tax accounting, including current and deferred tax provisions, book-to-tax differences, and uncertain tax positions.
  • Experience preparing or reviewing federal and multi-state corporate income tax returns, with strong analytical and research skills to navigate complex, multi-jurisdictional tax requirements.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and the ability to work with detailed financial data; experience with OneSource Tax Provision, OneSource Income Tax, and KPMG's ITRA tool is a plus.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and meet deadlines across multiple entities and jurisdictions.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical tax matters clearly, collaborate across global teams, and provide guidance to junior colleagues.

Benefits

  • Ongoing career opportunities at a repeat Forbes and Newsweek-listed “Best Employer for Women”, “Best Employer for Diversity”, “Best Remote Employer”, “Best Large Employer”, and “Most Loved Workplace”.
  • Career development and a career path designed to utilize your learned skills and ultimate professional passions in a world-leading company with over 25 years of world-leading experience.
  • Competitive pay.
  • Expected Compensation: $85,000-$110,000 USD/year (dependent on experience).
  • Health Coverage for you and your family with multiple plan options: Health, Vision, Dental; as well as HSA and FSA eligible programs.
  • Generous Paid-Time-Off and 10 Company Paid Holidays, as well as Floating Holidays, Paid Volunteer Days and an additional Paid Day Off for your Birthday!
  • 401k with company match.
  • Free access to Lionbridge’s Employee Wellness Platform and Employee Assistance Program to support both physical and mental health.
  • Earn extra money in your HSA for completing Wellness Incentive goals through employer contributions.
  • Career guidance with learning and development opportunities along the way, backed by Lionbridge’s Internal Mobility and Referral Bonus programs.
