Role Description

We are seeking a Senior SAP Tax & Vertex Engineer to serve as a hands-on expert supporting our global tax technology landscape across SAP S/4HANA. This role focuses on deep functional and technical expertise in SAP tax configuration and Vertex tax engine solutions, supporting both indirect and direct tax processes across global regions, including the United States, Europe, and Asia-Pacific (APAC).

You will be responsible for designing, configuring, and optimizing tax determination, compliance, and reporting solutions across:

• Sales & Use Tax
• VAT
• GST
• Withholding Tax

Ensuring scalable and compliant integrations throughout:

• Order-to-Cash (O2C)
• Procure-to-Pay (P2P)
• Record-to-Report (RTR)

This is a highly hands-on expert role requiring strong experience in SAP tax architecture, Vertex integration, and statutory compliance. The ideal candidate will work closely with Tax, Finance, Compliance, and Digital teams to ensure tax accuracy, operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and continuous process improvement across a global organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Technology, Tax, or a related field.
• 7+ years of hands-on experience with SAP tax solutions and tax-related business processes.
• Strong expertise in SAP S/4HANA tax configuration and tax determination frameworks.
• Deep experience with Vertex tax engine implementation, integration, and support.
• Strong understanding of indirect tax processes, including Sales & Use Tax, VAT, and GST.
• Experience supporting withholding tax configuration and reporting requirements.
• Knowledge of tax compliance, statutory reporting, and global regulatory requirements.
• Experience supporting tax integrations across O2C, P2P, and RTR processes.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
• Availability during standard business hours.
• Advanced English proficiency (English-only environment).
• Long-term engagement.

Requirements

• SAP S/4HANA certification.
• Vertex certification or advanced Vertex implementation experience.
• Experience supporting multinational organizations with complex global tax requirements.
• Knowledge of tax automation and digital transformation initiatives.
• Experience working with SAP integrations involving third-party tax, compliance, and reporting solutions.
• Familiarity with global e-Invoicing and electronic tax compliance requirements.
