[Hiring] Senior Manager, Tax Reporting & Compliance @Kidde Global Solutions

Role Description

This role will lead KGS’ global tax reporting and provision processes at the legal entity and consolidated levels. This role reports directly to KGS’ Head of Tax Reporting and Compliance and will work closely with each of our businesses, corporate functions, and professionals around the world. The successful candidate will not only have the tax technical proficiency, but also the ability to team with other finance professionals and proactively manage and improve the entire tax provision and financials statement process.

Key Responsibilities

• ASC 740 reporting, including all requisite analyses, disclosures, and management communications
• Identification and implementation of planning opportunities
• Quarterly and year-end closing process and provision to compliance integration
• Cash tax and ETR modeling
• ASC 740 planning with respect to transactional activity
• ASC 740 review with external auditors
• ASC 740 process/software continuous improvement

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, or related field
• 10+ years of tax reporting experience in a large, multi-national, corporate tax, or accounting firm environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced degree in Finance or Tax / MST a plus
• Experience with tax provision software (OneSource, Longview) and HFM a plus
• Understand major steps in provision process, from data sourcing through full ETR model and tax footnote
• In-depth understanding of tax systems’ capabilities
• Ability to identify and implement continuous process improvements
• Understand impact of income taxes on the financial statements, and identify opportunities to combine tax and accounting knowledge to improve business results
• Operative understanding of tax cycle from planning through audit
• Ability to understand complex tax concepts and recognize the need for internal or external subject matter expertise
• Working knowledge of all major areas of tax law affecting the company

Compensation and Benefits

• Individuals may be eligible for an annual performance bonus based on both individual and company’s performance.
• The final compensation for this position will be set based on the individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience as it relates to the job requirements.
