[Hiring] Senior Financial Analyst @Triton Digital Canada Inc.

Role Description

Reporting to the Director of Finance, you will combine accounting expertise with financial planning and analysis to help business leaders understand performance, evaluate investments, and identify opportunities for improvement. This role is suited to someone who enjoys understanding what drives the numbers, challenging assumptions constructively, and turning complex information into clear recommendations. You will work across business units, take ownership of your analyses, and connect accurate financial reporting with practical business insight. The ideal candidate must be an independent and critical thinker with excellent communication skills, analytical capabilities.

• Partner with business leaders
• Work with business unit leaders to build annual budgets and periodic forecasts grounded in clear assumptions and business drivers.
• Explain variances against budgets and forecasts, identify underlying causes, and recommend appropriate actions.
• Communicate financial insights in a way that helps stakeholders understand their options and make informed decisions.
• Understand performance and identify opportunities
• Analyze costs, operating trends, and business performance to identify opportunities for greater efficiency and improved results.
• Develop and maintain financial models, analytical tools, and KPI reporting that make performance easier to understand and monitor.
• Look beyond individual variances to identify emerging trends, risks, and opportunities.
• Support sound investment decisions
• Prepare CAPEX analyses and business cases using financial and non-financial information.
• Evaluate assumptions, compare scenarios, and clearly explain the benefits, costs, risks, and trade-offs of proposed investments.
• Support project analysis and CAPEX tracking.
• Ensure reliable reporting
• Contribute to the monthly close by reviewing financial results, investigating discrepancies, and supporting the integrity of reported information.
• Prepare financial reports and presentations that give senior management a clear view of performance and its business implications.
• Identify ways to improve the accuracy, efficiency, and usefulness of financial reporting and analysis.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field
• 7-10 years of relevant work experience
• Accounting designation CPA is strong asset
• Strong analytical skills and critical thinking
• Highly detailed-oriented and result-focused
• Relevant experience with upper management reporting
• Great team spirit and communication skills
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel), BI tools, and various ERP
• Advanced spoken English and spoken French an asset
