[Hiring] Senior Financial Accountant @Baltic Assist

Role Description

You will be responsible for high-quality financial services delivery. The ideal candidate must have a strong background in accounting and excellent English skills. It is an exciting role with great responsibility. The position also involves:

• Liaising with auditors, operational teams, and finance controllers.
• Having a big picture view and a quick understanding of client needs.
• Integrating continuous improvement in daily job functions.

How you'll spend your day:

• Taking responsibility for complex accounting and financial reporting.
• Controlling and coordinating the monthly closing process and other accounting processes.
• Liaising with customers, (tax) advisors, lawyers, auditors, and other professionals.
• Mentoring junior staff on all accounting matters.
• Offering professional solutions and advice to colleagues and clients.

Qualifications

• University degree in Accounting/Economics/Finance/Mathematics/Business Administration or similar.
• At least 2.5 years of professional experience in accounting; experience in similar positions would be an advantage.
• Fluency in English (both spoken & written); Lithuanian would be considered an advantage.
• Knowledge of accounting standards and best practices.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills, proactive approach.
• Experience working with multiple customers would be considered an advantage.
• Good time management and planning skills.
• Ability to work independently, take ownership and responsibility.
• Good MS Office skills; experience with different ERP systems would be an advantage.
• IT savviness and the ability to foresee and engage in reporting and accounting process improvement would be an advantage.

Requirements

• Demonstrate financial knowledge through targeted questions and a short verbal task during the first interview.
• Assess understanding of bookkeeping theory and ability to apply core accounting principles in practical scenarios.
