Role Description

NOTE: The Pay Range referenced in this job announcement only applies to applicants who perform the job within the US and to applicants classified by CRS as International Assignees. Staff hired on local payroll would follow the respective Country pay range. Pay Range: $64,647 - $77,268 Annually

Project Overview: Catholic Relief Services is implementing a global emergency response initiative designed to deliver timely, life-saving humanitarian assistance in rapidly evolving crises worldwide. Over 18 months, the program enables fast, flexible action to address urgent needs arising from sudden shocks and protracted emergencies. It supports critical humanitarian sectors through context-appropriate assistance while emphasizing operational readiness, locally led implementation, accountability to affected communities, and safe, dignified programming. The initiative strengthens the organization’s ability to respond at speed and scale in complex and resource-constrained environments, ensuring help reaches people most in need when it matters most.

Job Summary: The Finance Officer Sr supports the RAPID’s overall financial management systems, policies, and procedures in alignment with CRS accounting standards, Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), donor regulations, and local legal requirements. As part of an experienced finance team, the Finance Officer helps coordinate daily financial activities through preparation and delivery of financial services. The Finance Officer Sr is responsible for consolidating RAPID’s financial processes, including transaction reviews, account analysis, compliance monitoring, and financial reporting and reconciliations, to ensure strong stewardship of RAPID’s resources across all countries.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration with courses in accounting, or a qualification in accounting (CPA/ACCA or equivalent).
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in a position with similar responsibilities.

• Proficient in MS Office packages (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio), Web Conferencing Applications.
• Excellent analytical skills with ability to detect and report inconsistencies.
• Ability to produce work accurately and completely with a high level of attention to detail.
• Ability to act and conduct oneself in accordance with recognized professional and organizational codes of ethics.
• Proactive, resourceful, solutions-oriented and results-oriented mindset.
• Ability to work collaboratively.
• Fluency in English required.
• Must be willing and able to travel up to 25%.
