Role Description

This role is suited to a technically strong and self-sufficient bookkeeper who is confident managing complex client accounts end-to-end. You will handle everything from reconciliations and payroll through to reporting and advisory engagement.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end bookkeeping across multiple client entities and industries
• Process advanced payroll, including award interpretation, redundancies, terminations, and payroll tax
• Prepare and review BAS and IAS, ensuring compliance with ATO requirements and superannuation obligations
• Deliver month-end reporting, cash flow forecasting, and KPI analysis
• Provide advisory support including grant submissions, SGC audits, and client consultations
• Oversee accounts-receivable and -payable functions, including payment processing and supplier reconciliations
• Perform bank reconciliations across multiple entities
• Manage workers compensation calculations and compliance obligations

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years of Bookkeeping experience in public practice accounting or bookkeeping firm
• Advanced payroll expertise, including award interpretation and complex employment scenarios
• Solid understanding of BAS, IAS, PAYG, superannuation, and reconciliations
• Proven experience across accounts payable, accounts receivable, statement reconciliation, and reconciling multiple bank accounts
• Ability to manage complex client portfolios, work autonomously and manage deadlines effectively
• Proficiency with cloud-based accounting platforms and workflow systems
• Knowledge of workers compensation calculations and compliance

Requirements

• Experience in presenting financial insights and reports directly to clients
• Peer review or quality assurance processes exposure
• Knowledge of systems such as Karbon, TSheets, or integrations like Shopify and Square
