[Hiring] Senior Analyst, Payroll @EDB

Role Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Analyst to join our Global Payroll team at EDB. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with international payroll, with a keen eye for detail, and a passion for process improvement. You will play a vital role in supporting our growing global workforce and ensuring a seamless payroll experience for all.

Main Function

In this role, you will be a key contributor to our payroll operations, ensuring the timely and accurate processing of payroll in accordance with our policies for our employees across the globe. Additionally, you will help drive process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the payroll cycle.

What your impact will be:

• Prepare and process end to end global payroll for various countries, working closely with our international payroll providers to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Serve as a primary point of contact for employees, providing guidance and resolving payroll-related queries, ensuring effective resolution in a timely manner.
• Support payroll accounting close activities, including the preparation of accruals and account reconciliations, prepare and post payroll journal entries to the general ledger, ensuring all financial records are accurate and up-to-date, and partner with the accounting team to resolve variances.
• Assist with the review of quarterly payroll tax reporting and help research and resolve payroll/tax reporting issues.
• Prepare and generate internal payroll reports for management and assist with external regulatory filings.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives (AI work) within the payroll function, helping to enhance efficiency, leverage automation, and improve the stakeholder experience.
• Invoice Management: Populate and prepare invoices related to payroll, benefits, and other third-party remittances.
• Data Analysis & Reporting: Utilize Microsoft Excel to create reports, analyze payroll data, and support financial audits. This includes using functions like VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, and advanced formulas.

Qualifications

• 5-8+ years of progressive, hands-on experience in a global payroll function.
• Deep expertise in ADP India payroll processing, variable inputs, gathering information for validation, reaching out to stakeholders/people team for information that affects payroll (OT hours, new hires, terminations, commissions etc.) including a strong understanding of local statutory compliance (PF, PT, ESI, and Income Tax).
• A healthy curiosity for payroll: You don’t just process data; you want to understand the "why" behind the calculations and the "how" of the underlying systems.
• Adaptability & Growth Mindset: You are comfortable navigating change in a fast-paced environment and are genuinely willing to learn new technologies, regional regulations, and complex global workflows.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to build models using VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, and advanced formulas.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Business, HR, or a related discipline.
• Hands-on experience with payroll and accounting software. Workday, ADP and NetSuite experience are strongly preferred.
• Excellent skills to effectively partner with cross-functional and international teams across various time zones.
• Proven ability to manage tasks independently in a remote-first work environment.
• Available during core hours for PT time zone.
