Role Description
FinStrat Management (βFSMβ) is seeking a motivated individual to join our team as a client-facing Senior Accounting Manager. This is a full-time role, managing accounting operations and financial reporting for a number of FSM clients. This is a great opportunity to build a team, implement best practices, and help scale both the company and its clients.

Leadership of FSM staff accountants; planning, directing, and coordinating all accounting operational functions for clients

Take ownership of the monthly financial close, reconciliation of accounts and G/L analysis for clients (key accounts such as revenue, unearned revenue, and accrued expenses)

Prepare month-end reporting package with financial statements and variance analysis for clients

Review and ensure journal entries are posted accurately

Review and ensure client GL accounts are accurately reconciled

Manage clients' back office finance functions (e.g., A/R, A/P, payroll, etc.)

Assess clients' current account operations, make recommendations for improvement and implementing new systems and processes

Ensure deliverables meet the firm's quality standards

Identify and communicate engagement matters to clients, managers and partners

Provide five-star client service
Qualifications

A bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required

CPA preferred but is not required (the company will reimburse exam costs following successful completion)
Requirements

Strong understanding of financial statement preparation and account reconciliations

Comprehensive knowledge of cash flow management, budgeting and forecasting

Knowledgeable in all aspects of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and Revenue Recognition (i.e. ASC 606)

Outstanding technology and systems skills

Expert-level proficiency with Microsoft Excel
