Looking to move beyond pure compliance and become a trusted advisor to growing businesses? This role offers a genuine mix of business services, strategic advisory, and commercial exposure, with the opportunity to help deliver and expand broader Virtual CFO and strategic finance services.

This is an excellent opportunity for either a strong Senior Accountant ready to step into a leadership role or an experienced Manager seeking a more progressive, advisory-focused/ CFO Services environment.

You’ll manage a portfolio of SME clients across compliance and advisory while working closely with leadership on broader strategic initiatives and value-add client projects. Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing client relationships end-to-end
• Preparation and review of financial statements and tax returns
• Tax planning and business advisory support
• Mentoring and reviewing junior team members
• Identifying opportunities to add value beyond compliance
• Supporting clients with commercial and strategic decision-making

You’ll also gain exposure to:

• Cashflow forecasting and budgeting
• Business performance analysis and reporting
• Commercial advisory projects
• Strategic growth initiatives
• Virtual CFO / outsourced finance function support
• Board-style reporting and management insights
• Process improvement and operational advisory work

Qualifications

• CA or CPA qualification
• 5+ years’ Australian public practice experience
• Strong SME client management capability
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• Interest in advisory, commercial finance, and strategic business support
• Exposure to Virtual CFO / outsourced CFO services would be highly regarded
• A proactive and solutions-focused mindset
