Role Description
Robert Half is seeking a Senior Accountant II, External Reporting to join the External Reporting team. This team prepares Robert Half's consolidated financial reports filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), including Forms 8-K, 10-Q, and 10-K. They also prepare and analyze consolidated monthly and ad-hoc reports for senior management, providing explanations for significant fluctuations in periodic results. This team is a key interface with external auditors regarding financial presentations in quarterly and annual filings.

Prepare quarterly and annual SEC filings, including Forms 8-K, 10-Q, and 10-K, including presentation of all financial statements, footnotes, and drafting of Management's Discussion and Analysis (MD&A).

Responsible for compliance with XBRL, including data tagging and custom tag definition as required.

Perform GAAP and SEC technical research and communicate findings to senior management as required.

Assess impact of new accounting pronouncements on Robert Half's financial statements.

Create and maintain monthly reporting package for Robert Half and Protiviti senior management, including complex reports such as statement of cash flows, revenue reporting package, and constant currency reporting.

Interface with management as needed to answer questions and provide variance explanations; supervise the assembly of the monthly reporting binder.

Analyze monthly financial results and prepare variance analysis for all levels of management as needed.

Provide financial data to senior management and other corporate departments.

Create and maintain complex reporting layouts and spreadsheets, involving currency translation, geographic and business unit consolidation, and macros, requiring high proficiency with Excel and PeopleSoft.

Maintain the external reporting process maps; primary external/internal auditor contact for external reporting process maps.

Perform ad hoc GAAP and accounting policy research.

Produce complex PowerPoint slides containing quarterly and annual financial results for executive presentations to external investment institutions; these presentations are posted to the Robert Half website.
Qualifications

Bachelorโs degree in Accounting or Finance required.

CPA strongly preferred.

7+ yearsโ accounting/financial analysis experience, including 2+ yearsโ SEC reporting experience.

Thorough understanding of US GAAP and SEC reporting requirements.

MS Office, including advanced skills in Excel.

Financial ERP experience (PeopleSoft preferred).

Experience with business intelligence tools.

Strong planning, organization, analytical and interpersonal skills.

Highly effective written and communication capabilities with all levels of management and staff.

Proven ability to work independently and meet strict reporting deadlines.
Requirements

The typical annual salary range for this position is negotiable depending upon experience and location: $88,000.00 - $134,000.00.
