Role Description

Seasonal Tax Analyst

Location: Philippines

Type: Seasonal - Remote

Duration: October 2026 - April 2027

Key Responsibilities

• Preparation:
  • Prepare individual returns with a Schedule C business (1040 & Sch C) and business tax returns (1120, 1120-S, 1065) and associated schedules and financial statements across all states and nearly every industry.
  • Organize and research client data; synthesize complex and diverse financial information.
  • Communicate with clients on an ongoing basis to gather what's needed for compliance and filing.
• Review & Quality Assurance:
  • Perform high-level self-review of complex federal, state, and local returns, using AI-assisted diagnostics (e.g., triplicate-scan consensus checks) to validate critical fields before submission.
  • Reconcile returns against client source documents — financial statements, general ledgers, K-1s, W-2s.
  • Verify all filings align with current IRS regulations, state laws, and applicable international tax treaties.
  • Prepare Book-to-Tax workpapers, notes, and any other required documentation.
  • Identify tax savings opportunities, credits, and deductions to maximize value for a range of client profiles.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years preparing and reviewing both individual and entity-level tax returns (Local or US Taxation).
• Proficiency with cloud-based tax software, Lacerte preferred; strong Excel skills; comfort with digital communication tools; Google Suite (Gmail, G-Chat, Google Meet).
• Broad working knowledge of industry-specific tax treatment; ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines with minimal supervision.

Requirements

• Experience coordinating services across multiple departments or specialties.
• Excellent time management and multitasking skills.
• Understanding of SaaS products, accounting, tax, payroll, or related services is a plus.
• Experience working in fast-paced SMB environments is strongly preferred.
• Salesforce or equivalent CRM experience preferred.
• Prior remote work experience required.
• A bachelor's degree is a plus.
