Role Description
We currently have an exciting career opportunity for a Senior Manager to join the Real Estate team in our Client Accounting Advisory practice.
CohnReznick is a hybrid firm and most of our professionals are located within a commutable distance to one of our offices. This position is considered remote which means it does not require job duties be performed within proximity of a CohnReznick office location. However, as a remote employee, you may be required to be present at a CohnReznick office with scheduled notice for client work, team meetings, or trainings.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Lead and oversee the Real Estate accounting team. Responsible for client execution and timely delivery of clientβs work product by team members.

Demonstrates ability to independently perform and assist with complex accounting services for clients.

Lead global team with client work and developing skills, providing guidance and training on accounting principles and calculations.

Handle inquiries from clients and/or internal stakeholders, understanding the industry and client challenges to provide solutions and improvements.

Lead business development initiatives to bring in revenue and grow the Real Estate practice.

Lead training initiatives for a global team to ensure consistency and excellence across teams.

Play a strategic role in the sales cycle and business development efforts by providing subject matter expertise and client-facing insights.

Identify and execute internal upselling and cross-selling opportunities through deep understanding of service offerings and client needs.

Demonstrate advanced, specialized technical expertise that supports a premium bill rate and high-value client delivery.

Timely complete duties associated with managing teams, ensuring goals and benchmarks for performance and execution of client work are met.

Complete duties associated with managing clients, developing and maintaining client relationships, including proactive communications.

Develop expertise in use of all technology necessary for performance execution, ensuring quality control procedures are adhered to.

Solicit internal experts from across the Firm to assist in providing solutions for client challenges.

Drive recruitment, onboarding, and professional development of new staff, fostering a technically proficient and high-performing team.

Support the development of the Real Estate CAS team, including defining service offerings, recruiting top talent, and establishing operational infrastructure.
Qualifications

BA required. MBA and/or CPA license a plus.
-
Experience leading business development and sales initiatives.
-
Proven ability to drive and lead corporate accounting processes and procedures such as cash management, AR/AP, month-end close, payroll, and benefits.

Strong GAAP experience along with hands-on experience performing controllership functions related to consolidations, GL close, and financial reporting.

Strong Real Estate experience.

Strong communication, documentation, and presentation skills.

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, being highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio, Project).

Yardi, QuickBooks, NetSuite, R365, and Sage Intacct experience preferred.

Strong project and time management skills.

Accuracy and attention to detail. Action-oriented (self-starter, team player, detail-oriented).

Must be able to handle multiple priorities and effectively meet critical deadlines.

Significant knowledge of accounting and finance processes and functions. Strong understanding of financial statement preparation and analysis.
