Role Description
We are looking for a detail-oriented Property Management Accountant to support accounts receivable, accounts payable, and general ledger functions for our multi-property and real estate portfolio. This role is responsible for timely collections and vendor payments, closing the books on a monthly basis, compliance with real estate tax and reporting requirements while working closely with the owner and property management team.

Manage accounts receivable (AR) collections by reviewing the AR inbox daily and resolving collection issues independently or in coordination with team members.

Communicate with tenants and customers regarding invoices, payments, account balances, and overdue amounts through email and phone follow-ups.

Prepare and distribute weekly accounts payable (AP) reports.

Maintain a payment tracker for all recurring payments and monitor due dates to ensure timely AP processing. Process AP bills weekly.

Maintain an insurance tracker and identify deficiencies during the renewal period.

Track property and real estate tax due dates to ensure compliance and on-time payments.

Draft annual income and expense (I&E) reports for review by the CFO.

Assist with real estate tax research and other ad hoc tasks related to real estate entities.

Support annual tax preparation by compiling and submitting required financial data.

Coordinate annual 1099 filings and related compliance requirements.

Assist with various ad hoc tasks.
Qualifications

At least 3 years experience in property management accounting.

Strong knowledge of Yardi Breeze.

High attention to detail, strong organizational and communication skills.

Strong verbal and writing skills.
Requirements

Operating System: Windows-based device only (No Mac/Apple computers).

Memory: Minimum of 16GB RAM.

Hardware: Dual-monitor setup (2 screens) is required for efficient workflow.

Connectivity: Stable, high-speed internet with a dedicated, quiet workspace. Candidates must be able to guarantee connectivity regardless of travel.
