Role Description
The Program Controller will compile financial information and analyze cost estimating and financial data processes from both a government and corporate perspective. The Program Controller shall be fully versed in government budgetary processes and requirements, obligation/expenditure tracking, and the DoD planning/programming budget system.

Examine and review cost records and ensure cost data is allocated correctly.

Assist MIOS Finance team in analyzing financial and budgetary information.

Draft milestone status reports and earned value management information.

Reconcile and track obligations, expenditures, and contract funding levels, including travel vouchers and other direct costs.

Provide input for future yearsโ budget projections.

Provide financial data support for proposals, business development, and budget processes.

Prepare budget documents and Limitation of Funds notice.

Track and review invoices and generate related support documentation.
-
Prepare cost estimating, including cost corrections and accruals.
-
Provide Program Managers with guidance on ensuring project/program financial accuracy.

Attend customer meetings and provide financial support as needed.
-
Provide accurate review and approval of all Expense Reports in Deltek and Purchase Orders in Costpoint.

Prepare Monthly Financial Tracking documents for active contracts.
-
Establish close working relationships with company Program Managers, respective customers, and subcontractors on a program by program basis.

Utilize web-based adaptive tool to track Estimates to Complete, Estimates at Completion, and Forecasts.

Provide accurate invoice and purchase card coding in ORAA.

Prepare financial slides for IPRs, Finance Reviews, Monthly Operations Briefs, and Executive level briefings.

Coordinate timesheet corrections with Program Managers and employees.
-
Complete EARS and Alternate Project Code Forms as needed.

Complete annual company and customer training requirements according to established policies and procedures.

Record labor hours daily in online corporate system.

Qualifications

Bachelorโs degree in finance, accounting or business is required.

3+ years of experience working within a federal government accounting or government contracting corporate systems position.

Background check required.

Ability to obtain a Secret clearance.

Proficient knowledge of Adaptive/Costpoint/Deltek/Cognos.

Working knowledge of ORAA preferred.

Advanced knowledge of a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, database, presentation software (MSWord, Excel, Access, PowerPoint), and Outlook.

Strong financial background and organizational and analytical skills to interpret and prepare financial reports and documents.

Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills required with the ability to interact with all levels of staff, government personnel, and management.

Ability to multi-task in a high stress, performance-based environment.

Must be able to handle confidential information with discretion.

Must have strong organization and prioritization skills.

Ability to effectively train and lead others.
