Role Description
We are a seeking a detail-oriented and organized Remote Payroll Specialist to manage payroll processing and support the company's payroll and administrative operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time, maintaining payroll records, reviewing timesheets and handling payroll-related inquiries while protecting confidential employee information.
This position requires strong numerical accuracy, organizational skills, discretion, and the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
Job Responsibilities

Process employee payroll accurately and according to established pay schedules.

Review timesheets, attendance records, overtime, bonuses, commissions, and applicable deductions.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date payroll records and employee compensation information.

Verify payroll data and resolve discrepancies before processing payments.

Assist with payroll tax documentation, statutory deductions, and required reporting in accordance with applicable regulations.

Respond to employee questions concerning payslips, payroll discrepancies, deductions, and payment schedules.

Coordinate with HR and Finance to ensure employee records and payroll information remain accurate.

Prepare payroll summaries and reports for management review.

Maintain strict confidentiality of employee financial and personal information.

Identify opportunities to improve payroll procedures and recordkeeping systems.
Qualifications

Associate's or bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.

Previous experience in payroll processing, bookkeeping, accounting, or a related administrative role is an advantage.

Knowledge of payroll procedures, wage calculations, deductions, and applicable employment regulations.

Familiarity with payroll software, Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, or related financial systems.
