Role Description

Looking for a high-impact accounting role without committing to full-time hours? Join a growing Australian public practice accounting firm supporting a diverse portfolio of clients across tax, compliance, and reporting. This role is designed for an experienced accountant who can contribute meaningfully on a part-time basis (25 hours/week) — handling core compliance work while the business continues to scale.

You’ll take ownership of key accounting tasks and client deliverables, with the opportunity to transition into a full-time, senior role as the business grows.

How You’ll Make an Impact

• Prepare tax returns and financial statements across multiple entity types
• Assist with BAS, IAS, and FBT lodgments
• Prepare and organize workpapers for review
• Support ongoing bookkeeping and financial data accuracy
• Assist in maintaining client records and compliance workflows
• Communicate with clients for document collection and follow-ups
• Work collaboratively with the business owner and bookkeeper

Qualifications

• Based in the Philippines
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• Australian public practice accounting experience (MANDATORY)
• Hands-on experience preparing:
  • Tax returns (multiple entity types)
  • Financial statements
  • BAS and IAS
• Proficient in:
  • Xero (including Xero Practice Manager – REQUIRED)
  • ATO systems
• Can work independently and deliver outputs with minimal supervision
• Strong attention to detail and structured work approach

Requirements

• This role is not suited for junior accountants—candidates must be able to contribute immediately without heavy training.

Work Schedule & Employment Terms
