Role Description
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Paraplanner / Financial Planning Assistant to support our adviser in delivering high-quality, compliant financial advice. This is a key support role ideal for someone who is highly organized, technically strong, and confident working within XPLAN.
Key Responsibilities:

Paraplanning & Advice Preparation

Prepare Statements of Advice (SOAs) and Records of Advice (ROAs) using XPLAN.

Efficiently manage and maintain client data within XPLAN.

Upload new clients and ensure all client information is accurate and up to date.

Maintain detailed and compliant file notes within the CRM.

Assist with strategy modelling and research.

Implementation & Applications
-
Complete and lodge applications for investments, superannuation (including rollovers and contributions), and personal insurance (Life, TPD, Income Protection, and Trauma).

Manage underwriting requirements and follow up with insurers.

Liaise with product providers, superannuation funds, and insurance companies.

Track applications through to completion.

Client & Review Support
-
Request and obtain statements from fund managers and superannuation providers.

Prepare review documentation for client meetings, including investment summaries, superannuation balances, and insurance schedules.

Assist in preparing annual review packs.

General Office & Administration
-
Maintain CRM workflows and task management.
-
Communicate with clients and product providers professionally.
-
Manage day-to-day administrative duties within the practice.

Work across insurance and superannuation provider software platforms.
Qualifications

Previous experience in a financial planning or paraplanning role.

Strong working knowledge of XPLAN (essential).

Understanding of SOA preparation and compliance requirements.

Familiarity with superannuation, investments, and personal insurance products.

High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
-
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Requirements

Desirable: RG146 compliant (or working towards).

Experience in a boutique advice practice.

Understanding of ASIC compliance requirements.
