Role Description
We currently have an exciting career opportunity for a Manager to join the Not-for-Profit team in our Client Accounting Advisory practice.
CohnReznick is a hybrid firm and most of our professionals are located within a commutable distance to one of our offices. This position is considered remote which means it does not require job duties be performed within proximity of a CohnReznick office location. However, as a remote employee, you may be required to be present at a CohnReznick office with scheduled notice for client work, team meetings, or trainings.
Your responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Lead and oversee the Not-for-Profit accounting team, ensuring timely delivery of client work by team members.

Demonstrate ability to independently perform and assist with complex accounting services for clients.

Lead global team with client work and developing skills, providing guidance and training on accounting principles and calculations.

Timely complete duties associated with managing teams and ensuring goals and benchmarks are met.

Manage client relationships, including proactive communications and exceeding clientsβ expectations.

Develop expertise in necessary technology for performance execution and ensure quality control procedures are adhered to.

Become a subject matter expert for the industry vertical(s) you are supporting.

Participate in mentoring, recruiting, retention, and team-building activities.

Conduct oneself professionally and show respect to others.

Follow regulations and professional ethics of the AICPA and the state society.

Maintain compliance with all firm-wide and local office policies and procedures.

Proactively develop relationships and communications with clients, staff, and internal stakeholders.

Respond timely and accurately to internal team and client requests.

Solicit internal experts from across the Firm to assist in providing solutions for client challenges.
Qualifications

BA required; MBA and/or CPA license a plus.

Proven ability to drive and lead corporate accounting processes and procedures.

Strong GAAP experience and hands-on experience performing controllership functions.

Support CAS engagements for nonprofit, governmental, and federally funded entities.

Strong Non-Profit experience.

Strong experience managing the full lifecycle of federal and state grants.

Strong communication, documentation, and presentation skills.

Strong problem solving and analytical skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

QuickBooks, NetSuite, and Sage Intacct experience preferred.

Strong project and time management skills.

Accuracy and attention to detail; action-oriented.

Must be able to handle multiple priorities and effectively meet critical deadlines.

Significant knowledge of accounting and finance processes and functions.
