[Hiring] Nonprofit Accountant @Cedarstone

Role Description

Cedarstone is seeking a full-time Nonprofit Accountant to join our Financial Operations team. This hands-on role is designed to serve as a day-to-day trusted accountant to a dedicated portfolio of nonprofit clients, ensuring their financial operations run smoothly, accurately, and compliantly.

• Manage general ledger maintenance
• Perform monthly/quarterly/annual closings
• Execute AP/AR reconciliations
• Produce timely financial packages and board-level reporting
• Support annual external audits and Form 990 filings
• Assist with client onboarding
• Provide clear, actionable financial guidance to client leadership teams

This position may be a good fit for someone who is a curious, framework-oriented problem solver with strong GAAP knowledge, advanced spreadsheet skills, exceptional attention to detail, and a passion for building trusted relationships with nonprofit leaders. Sage Intacct experience is a big plus.

The role is 40 hours per week, Monday–Friday during business hours, and may be performed remotely (only within eligible states: AR, AZ, CO, FL, GA, IA, IN, KS, MI, NC, OH, TN, TX), in a hybrid arrangement, or in person at our Wheaton, IL office.
