Role Description
Responsible for driving technical accounting compliance, financial and operational internal controls, process simplification, and operational excellence to deliver accurate actual financial reporting and analysis. Has in-depth knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others; has working knowledge of competition and the factors that differentiate them in the market.
Roles and Responsibilities

Leadership:
Manage team of 20+ employees directly and indirectly. Each individual shop will have a controllership individual/organization, reporting to this role. Responsible for attracting, developing, and retaining top talent across the team to build a high-performing organization.

Compliance Oversight:
Ensure accurate financial reporting for both US GAAP and statutory requirements across the MRO international network. Responsible for general accounting and policy application & process administration for all cycles including inventory, revenue recognition, receivables/payables, intercompany, etc. Understand and interpret applicable Enterprise Standards, SOP and Process Maps to deliver globally competitive financial process/accounting services.

Operational Excellence:
Drive efficient, routine, and compliant close processes that enable standardization, simplification, and improved work/life balance for the accounting team. Lead efforts to reduce monthly close cycle time by 50% over the next two years. Use lean methodologies to identify waste, streamline workflows, and improve operational efficiency while maintaining a focus on quality and delivery.

Technical Expertise:
Provide strategic controllership support to MRO finance, operations, and Time & Materials commercial teams. Develop and implement strategies, policies, and processes to continuously improve Controllership within the MRO network and respond to evolving business needs.

ERP Transformation Leadership:
Lead the Controllership aspects of the ongoing ERP transformation journey across the MRO shops, ensuring alignment with business objectives and operational requirements.

Strategic Problem-Solving:
Partner with cross-functional teams to address complex accounting challenges, drive process improvements, and ensure alignment with GE Aerospace’s strategic priorities.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in finance and/or accounting from an accredited university or college.

Minimum of 10 years of experience in accounting or finance roles with progressing leadership experience.

Strong interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills.

Expertise in analyzing and resolving complex financial and operational challenges.

Strategic mindset with strong attention to detail and time management skills.

Comfortable leading through uncertainty and driving results in dynamic environments.
Requirements

Aerospace industry experience.

CPA, CA, or equivalent certification is preferred but not required.

Familiarity with lean operating concepts and application to Controllership and operational processes.

Demonstrated ability to lead large-scale programs/projects and influence outcomes in a matrixed organization.
