[Hiring] Mid-Level Cost Accountant – Global Hardware & Digital @Fresh Prints

Role Description

We’re looking for a Mid-Level Cost Accountant to take ownership of cost accuracy across our hardware and digital product ecosystem. This role is remote and is ideal for someone who’s meticulous, self-driven, and relentless in pursuing accuracy.

You’ll play a key role in ensuring cost integrity for manufacturing, logistics, and digital subscriptions, supporting leadership in making informed decisions that drive profitability and growth.

• Manage and analyze product costs, including manufacturing, BOMs, freight, duties, and landed costs.
• Oversee cost allocations for digital app subscriptions, including platform fees, transaction charges, and related costs.
• Conduct detailed variance analysis between standard and actual costs, identifying root causes and improvement opportunities.
• Partner with operations and FP&A to forecast COGS and model new product cost scenarios.
• Build and maintain accurate cost reports and dashboards to inform executive decision-making.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards (IFRS/GAAP) and internal control frameworks.
• Collaborate with global finance, supply chain, and digital operations teams to align cost methodologies across regions.
• Drive process automation and accuracy improvements using ERP and BI tools (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle).

Qualifications

• 7+ years in cost accounting, ideally in a global D2C, hardware, or consumer tech business.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce; CA/CMA preferred.
• Deep understanding of costing principles, variance analysis, and inventory valuation.
• Strong exposure to subscription and digital revenue models as well as hardware manufacturing.
• High proficiency in Excel, data reconciliation, and ERP/BI tools.
• Obsessed with detail, accuracy, and continuous improvement.
• Self-motivated, proactive, and comfortable owning complex cross-functional deliverables.
