Role Description
Make an impact supporting the U.S. Department of Agriculture! Lynch Consultants is seeking a Loan Audit Specialist to support a federal agency with loan audit engagement and residential loan portfolios. We are looking for someone who is ready to take on meaningful challenges and make a measurable difference. Salary: Up to $63,000yr.
Work Location and Schedule: This position is fully remote; National Capital Region (DMV) preferred.
Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in finance, business, accounting, public administration or a related field.

2-4 years of experience in banking, lending, loan servicing, credit analysis, or related financial document review.

U.S. Citizen and eligible to obtain and maintain a Federal Public Trust background clearance.

Experience with reviewing loan documents, agreements, and compliance materials with strong attention to detail.

Experience with review processes, checklists, SOPs, or audit frameworks.

Proficient with productivity and digital tools, including the ability to use AI-enabled tools such as Microsoft Copilot to enhance efficiency.
Requirements

Experience with reviewing or underwriting federal loan programs (USDA Rural Development, RBCS, Single Family Housing, or Multi-Family housing preferred).

Familiarity with federal systems, government portals, or secure data environments.

Knowledge with audit, compliance, quality control, or risk management processes.

Experience supporting federal agencies or government contractors in a regulated environment.

Ability to identify trends, risk indicators, or systemic issues and recommend process improvements.
