Role Description

TEKsytems is helping an Insurance client hire 8 Life underwriters. An ideal candidate has 1-3 years of experience in the life underwriting space.

• General given assignments for cases to work through
• Order an exam and look at the information on the application and what the total risk they are looking
• Experience looking at prescription history and reviewing medical records
• Screening medication data for life insurance applications
• Analyzing high risk medications and combinations of high risk medications
• Assessment of adverse health information relating to classification of risk
• Knowledge and identification of off-label medication uses
• Screening life insurance applications for selection of standard and substandard risks
• Evaluating health information received with add-ons and reinstatements
• MIB code reporting and interpretation of MIB code data
• All duties require identification of medical terminology

Qualifications

• Experienced underwriter
• Good experience with prescription history and look at medical records
• Someone has a case limit of $100,000 or more
• Signing authority - over $100k

Company Description

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mckinney, TX.

The pay range for this position is $31.25 - $38.46/hr.
