Role Description
The Lead Actuary, Analytics/Forecasting provides advanced analytical leadership and expertise in the analysis and forecasting of financial, economic, and other data to inform and support strategic and operational decisions. This role establishes and oversees key metrics and delivers complex data analyses. You will partner with senior leaders to drive business intelligence across the organization. The Lead Actuary evaluates industry, economic, financial, and market trends, forecasting the organization's short, medium, and long-term financial and competitive position. This role works on problems of substantial scope and complexity.
The Lead Actuary ensures enterprise-level data integrity by designing, implementing, and overseeing robust processes and controls for data management and flow. You will collaborate with a broad range of key stakeholders, including executives and high-level non-actuarial leaders, to understand complex business needs, proactively troubleshoot systemic issues, and lead root cause analyses. The Lead Actuary develops and implements cost-effective, strategic resolutions for data anomalies, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives. In addition to advising executives in the development of enterprise and departmental strategies on matters of significance, you will exercise advanced independent judgment and decision-making on highly complex technical and operational issues. The role operates with minimal supervision, applying expertise to interpret variable factors, determine optimal courses of action, and drive change across functions.
Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution

FSA or ASA plus relevant advanced degree, recent and relevant work experience, and/or other relevant professional designations.

Experience in more than two functions (e.g., modeling, pricing, rate filing, reporting & analysis, reserving or trending)

Collaborate with data science and cross-functional teams to develop and implement advanced analytical models and enhance analytic capabilities.

Support strategic initiatives such as specialty and cost savings programs, value-based arrangements, and the development of advanced performance reporting and operational insights.

Drive analytic strategy and develop innovative solutions to complex business problems, ensuring quality and compliance of actuarial deliverables.

Serve as a senior resource for executive leadership, lead cross-functional initiatives, and mentor team members to build analytic capacity and consistency.
