[Hiring] Junior Finance Consultant @Systemic Justice

Role Description

Systemic Justice is looking for a Junior Finance Consultant to provide hands-on, practical support to our Interim Finance Manager during a busy period for the finance function. This is a part-time, remote consultancy suited to someone with a solid grounding in bookkeeping or junior accountancy who is comfortable working independently, managing routine financial processes accurately, and picking things up quickly.

The role is focused on the operational essentials:

• Processing payments
• Organising financial documentation
• Managing credit card transactions
• Reconciling accounts
• Supporting day-to-day bookkeeping

It is a great fit for someone early in their finance career who enjoys precise, well-organised work and wants exposure to the financial operations of a mission-driven organisation.

Qualifications

• A background in bookkeeping, finance assistance, or junior accountancy, gained through study, training, or work experience.
• Comfortable with the fundamentals of financial transaction processing, basic reconciliation, and document management.
• Good written English; additional European languages are an asset but not essential.
• Based in the EU or the UK, with the right to work as an independent consultant in your country of residence.
• A genuine interest in supporting the work and mission of Systemic Justice.

Requirements

• Highly organised, with strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to repetitive financial tasks.
• Able to work independently and reliably in a remote setting, managing your own time within agreed working hours.
• Comfortable using accounting and spreadsheet software; experience with Business Central is a plus but not required.

Benefits

• Contract type: Consultancy (6 months)
• Hours: Part-time – 24 hours per week with possibility of additional hours during peak periods
• Rate: €40 per hour, inclusive of VAT
• Location: Remote: open to candidates based anywhere in the EU or the UK
• Start date: ASAP
• Reports to: Interim Finance Manager
