[Hiring] Jr AP Accountant @Placemakr

Role Description

As a Junior Accounts Payable Accountant, you will be an essential part of the AP team, helping to ensure timely and accurate vendor payments, smooth utility management, and organized financial records. You will work closely with Senior and Lead AP team members to support daily operations and assist in keeping our financial processes running efficiently. Your contributions will directly support our ability to meet reporting deadlines, maintain compliance, and provide excellent service to both internal and external partners.

What You’ll Do

• Provide invoice coding support for any assigned property as needed to ensure timely and accurate processing.
• Monitor your personal inbox, promptly responding to vendor inquiries, resolving discrepancies, and reconciling vendor account statements.
• Support weekly payment operations by keying wires for designated properties.
• Download and process new invoices for assigned vendors from online vendor portals and submit online payments as directed by the AP supervisor.
• Assist with annual 1099 preparation by verifying vendor tax information and payment data.
• Additional duties and responsibilities, as assigned.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of accounting or accounts payable experience.
• Proficiency in Yardi and Microsoft Office.
• Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and time management.
• Desire to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment.
