[Hiring] Investment Data Analyst @Bitcoin Suisse

Role Description

You will have the following responsibilities:

• Source, clean and combine selected on-chain, spot, derivatives, ETF, macro and portfolio data.
• Develop and test investment signals and indicators across market regimes, liquidity, positioning and risk, with transparent assumptions and checks against look-ahead bias and overfitting.
• Build maintainable Python and SQL workflows for data ingestion, quality checks, calculations and recurring analysis.
• Help develop our investment platform’s data and analytics components, including versioned model inputs, House View evidence, benchmark and target histories, and outputs for dashboards and reports.
• Calculate model portfolio returns, exposures, drawdowns, contributions, drift and liquidity measures for model portfolios.
• Support the translation of investment views into model allocation proposals and scenario analysis, working with Investment Strategy on methods, constraints and validation.
• Work with the platform developer, Operations and system owners on data contracts and phased PMS handovers.
• Produce clear charts, monitoring views and targeted analysis for Research, the investment process, advisors and client-facing teams.

Qualifications

• BA/MA in finance, economics, engineering, computer science or a related analytical field (CFA, CAIA, CMT are an advantage).
• 4+ years of experience in investment research, macro strategy, portfolio analysis or crypto-native research.
• A deep passion and fascination for the industry.
• Profound understanding of crypto markets, protocols, token models and sector-level dynamics.
• Strong interest in macroeconomics, global liquidity cycles, market structure and digital-asset valuation.
• Demonstrated ability to work with data (Python/R/SQL are an advantage) and to build clear, compelling charts and analytical frameworks.
• A high-energy, curious, humble, self-driven, and open-minded personality with strong ownership and the ability to collaborate in a small, high-performing team.
• Excellent communication skills both in writing and conversation.
• Ability to articulate complex terms and concepts to institutional audiences and non-technical stakeholders.
• Exact, diligent working style, the ability to own projects end-to-end and thrive in a high-pace environment.
• Excellent English in writing and speaking (German is an advantage).
