[Hiring] Head of Accounting & Reporting @Bitcoin Suisse

Role Description

• Lead and oversee the accounting function across multiple legal entities
• Prepare audit ready monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements under Swiss and Liechtenstein accounting standards and support Group reporting
• Ensure accurate, timely, and high-quality financial reporting to Executive Management, the Board of Directors, regulators, and other stakeholders
• Manage regulatory reporting requirements and coordinate with auditors, tax advisors, and supervisory authorities
• Lead, coach, and develop the Group Accounting and Reporting team
• Maintain and enhance accounting policies, internal controls, and governance frameworks
• Oversee the accounting and valuation of digital assets and complex financial transactions
• Act as the primary contact for external audits and drive audit readiness across the organisation
• Identify and implement process improvements, automation initiatives, and finance transformation projects
• Take ownership of finance IT systems, ensuring they are well maintained, up to date, and fully operational, with reliable and seamless interfaces between systems
• Support strategic initiatives, including new business activities (e.g. new products or additional locations) and take the project ownership from the finance side

Qualifications

• University degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
• Professional qualification such as Certified Expert for Accounting & Controlling, CPA, ACCA, ACA, or equivalent is highly desirable
• Minimum of 8–10 years of experience in accounting, financial reporting, or audit, including several years in a leadership position, ideally in the financial services industry
• Experience in a regulated environment such as banking, fintech, asset management, brokerage, or digital assets
• Solid understanding of financial processes, internal controls, and corporate governance
• Strong affinity for digitalisation, automation, and process optimisation
• Entrepreneurial mindset and a strong commitment to continuously improving processes and the quality of accounting and reporting
• Pragmatic, structured, and solution-oriented mindset
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Fluency in English is required; German is an advantage
