[Hiring] Financial Reporting Accountant @Jobgether

Role Description

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Staff Accountant - REMOTE. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the accuracy and quality of financial statements while adhering to GAAP standards. You will oversee key accounting functions such as:

• Preparation and posting of standard/adjusting journal entries
• Perform month-end close procedures and meet all deadlines
• Review and analyze revenue reports for accuracy in accordance with GAAP
• Interact with field personnel to ensure subsidiary ledger and financial statement accuracy
• Conduct financial statement reviews including detailed variance analysis
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate reconciling items
• Assist with audit requests and interact with internal/external auditors
• Ensure proper internal controls are maintained for corporate/field financial processes
• Perform various high level ad-hoc analyses and complete special requests as assigned by management
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
• 1+ years accounting experience required
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and general accounting
• Detail-oriented with excellent analytical skills
• Proficient in Excel
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Adaptability to new business systems/applications
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Oracle experience preferred
