As a financial analyst for the pharmacy department, you will:

Conduct specialized and highly complex analysis of financial data.

Provide senior management with the analysis and information needed for operational, financial, and strategic decisions.

Review and evaluate accounting policies and procedures for efficiency, accuracy, and compliance with GAAP.

Assist with producing financial dashboards tailored to pharmacy leadership.

Review pharmacy-related requisitions for financial accuracy and compliance.
-
Contribute to the generation of over $100M in pharmacy purchase orders and invoice submissions.

Support pharmacy management with research on income statements and decision support analysis.

Compile and prepare reports, graphs, and charts of data analyzed for pharmacy leadership.

Assist with the oversight of cash handling procedures across pharmacy locations.

Perform analysis to ensure integrity of accounting data and account balances.

Prepare reports for external auditors.

Analyze and interpret data, statistics, and financial information.

Assist with reconciliation of general ledger transactions in Workday.

Investigate issues related to pharmacy financial data and communicate findings to leadership.

Assist in the development and modification of Finance policies and procedures.

Maintain communication with University service departments for timely and accurate reporting.

Engage with pharmacy managers and directors regarding financial and purchasing activities.

Provide guidance and training to pharmacy staff on procedural changes.

Keep abreast of trends in financial management and adapt new developments into planning and analytical processes.

Attend meetings and prepare reports and conclusions to make recommendations to pharmacy management.

Assume responsibilities for special projects involving financial planning and recommending changes.

Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
-
Bachelor's degree in finance or related field.

2 years of related experience required.

Master's degree preferred.
-
4 years of related experience preferred.

Previous pharmacy experience preferred.
Requirements
-
Strong analytical skills.

Experience with financial systems such as Workday, TPMS, Epic, and Sage.

Ability to communicate findings effectively to leadership.

Knowledge of GAAP and financial compliance.
