[Hiring] Finance Team Lead @Baltic Assist

Role Description

You will be responsible for high-quality financial services delivery to our Multinational Client. The ideal candidate must have a strong background in accounting and excellent English skills. It is an exciting role with great responsibility. The position also involves:

• Supervision of the team
• Liaison with local auditors, operational teams, and finance controllers
• Understanding client needs with a big picture view
• Integrating continuous improvement in daily job

How you'll spend your day:

• Taking responsibility for the multinational client’s complex accounting and financial reporting
• Controlling and coordinating the monthly closing process and other accounting processes related to the multinational project
• Liaising with customers, (tax) advisors, lawyers, auditors, and other professionals
• Supervising subordinates by coordinating, organizing, reviewing, and controlling all accounting matters
• Planning, organizing, and controlling projects and the team’s workload
• Offering professional solutions and advice to subordinates and customers
• Proactively improving accounting, reconciliation, and operational processes with a focus on automation

Qualifications

• University degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance, Mathematics, Business Administration, or a similar field
• 3 - 5 years of professional experience in accounting; experience in similar positions would be an advantage
• Ability to speak, read, and write English fluently
• Extensive knowledge of accounting standards and best practices
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Team leadership skills
• Experience working with multiple customers would be considered an advantage
• Good time-management and planning skills
• Ability to work independently, be proactive, and take ownership and responsibility
• Good MS Office skills; experience with different ERP systems would be an advantage
• IT savviness and the ability to foresee and contribute to improvements in reporting and accounting processes would be an advantage
• Ability to handle stress and work under time pressure

Requirements

• Demonstrate financial knowledge through targeted questions and a short verbal task during the first interview
• Assess understanding of bookkeeping theory and ability to apply core accounting principles in practical scenarios
