[Hiring] Finance/Tax Intern @DIRECTV

Role Description

Join a team that’s shaping the next generation of media and entertainment as a Summer Intern in Tax. The work our team does impacts the DIRECTV Finance organization by minimizing operating taxes, directly benefiting net income. You’ll get the chance to work on internal tax processes and software, putting your education and skills to the test and see real-world immediate impact. We work cross-functionally to provide input and support in various initiatives focused on customer- and company-paid taxes.

• Analytical work to understand the drivers of California property tax values
• Conduct deep financial analysis around pending tax legislation impacting customers and/or DIRECTV
• SQL reporting from Snowflake

Qualifications

• Students currently pursuing a 4-year undergraduate degree or advanced degree in Tax, Accounting or Finance
• Passion for numbers and data with demonstrated experience in data analytics, visualization
• Comfortable presenting and speaking with leaders
• Highly proficient in Excel and PPT
• SQL experience is a plus
• Power BI
• Data storytelling, ability to synthesize insights out of the data
• Process documentation - ideation to deliverable
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Experience in virtual, cross-functional collaboration
• Well-organized and able to prioritize
• Self-motivated and able to hold oneself accountable to tasks in a virtual environment

Requirements

• Duration: 10-week remote internship (This is a remote position that can be located anywhere in the United States.)
• Program Dates: 6/7/27 – 8/13/27 or 6/14/27 – 8/20/27
• Eligibility: Must have full U.S. work authorization now and in the future
