Reporting to the Divisional Controller, Arrowhead Intermediaries of Brown & Brown Insurance, the Finance & Operations Leader will have an integral part in all aspects of the month-end close, internal controls, and accounting projects and support for profit centers within the Division.

Essential Duties and Functions:
- Manage accounting operations including monthly close, management reporting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, etc. for legacy offices, or newly acquired offices.
- Develop, prepare, implement, and ensure compliance to internal control policies, guidelines, and procedures for activities such as budget administration, cash and credit management, and accounting operations to align with corporate internal audit guidelines.
- Prepare and/or review monthly CSA’s effectively within the Brown & Brown control environment.
- Act as a resource to the offices you review utilizing a solid understanding of Brown & Brown accounting guidelines, control processes, and systems (financial and agency management)
- Collaborate with a variety of stakeholders (such as PCLs, Team Leaders, Functional Owners, Corporate Finance, Team Resources, IT, etc.)
- Prepare financial statements, business activity reports, financial position forecasts, annual budgets, and/or reports required by the corporate office.
- Lead and assist with various projects within the Programs division, both at the Regional and Divisional level.
- Prioritize various projects to ensure deadlines are met.
- Prepares, examines, or analyzes accounting records, financial statements, or other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards.
- Analyzes business operations, trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations to project future revenues and expenses or to provide advice.
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with Profit Center Leaders.
- Oversees general ledger transactions to ensure both proper accounting treatment and adherence to corporate policies and procedures.
- Reviews accounting processes and recommends changes or improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
- Responsible for maintaining the accuracy and reliability of the internal control framework surrounding financial reporting.
- Perform compliance procedures as required by Brown & Brown and the industry.
- Research technical accounting issues for compliance.

Education, Experience, and Knowledge:
- A minimum of 8+ years’ experience in an accounting or financial leadership role
- Proven leadership skills in managing and developing a team.
- Experience in delivering projects and initiatives that deliver measurable financial results with a focus on driving organic growth.
- Proven ability to effectively interact with leadership in a dynamic environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; Master’s/MBA degree preferred.
- Expert level proficiency in Microsoft suite; focus on Excel, PowerPoint and Word
- CPA preferred.

Pay Range
120,000 - 150,000 Annual
The pay range provided above is made in good faith and based on our lowest and highest annual salary or hourly rate paid for the role and takes into account years of experience required, geography, and/or budget for the role.
