Role Description
The Finance team at Runpod owns the financial infrastructure that lets the company scale with confidence. This role is our dedicated Finance seat for capacity and infrastructure:
-
GPU supply is our largest cost and the primary constraint on revenue.
-
You'll own the analytics behind how much capacity we have, how well it's utilized, how we pay for it, and when it comes online.
-
Your primary stakeholders are the Infrastructure and Data Center Operations teams, alongside Sales on committed demand.
-
As we scale from our Series A into the next phase of growth, we're building that decision-support layer from the ground up.
-
You'll work directly with Runpod's Director of Finance in a fast-moving, remote-first environment.
We're looking for a Finance Manager, Infrastructure & Capacity to own the financial view of Runpod's GPU fleet. This is a hands-on, builder role for someone who wants to stand up processes from scratch rather than maintain an existing playbook.
-
Maintain a live picture of available capacity.
-
Drive fill on upcoming tranches and utilization across the existing fleet.
-
Evaluate various GPU ownership models.
-
Forecast cash needs for our infrastructure and capacity.
-
Model the revenue impact of bring-up timing.
Every dollar of Runpod's revenue runs through capacity we had to acquire, finance, and fill. Your analysis will determine:
-
Which tranches we commit to.
-
How we structure them.
-
How quickly they start earning.
When a bring-up slips a month or a tranche lands underfilled, you'll be the person who quantifies the cost and drives the fix. You'll have the latitude to build these processes from the ground up, and your judgment on where to focus, automate, or dig deeper will directly influence how the company grows.
Responsibilities
-
Maintain a live view of available capacity across GPU types and datacenters.
-
Drive fill on upcoming tranches of capacity, partnering with Sales and Infrastructure.
-
Monitor utilization across the existing fleet, flagging underperforming SKUs, datacenters, and node groups.
-
Evaluate alternate methods of GPU ownership and recommend the right structure for each opportunity.
-
Forecast cash requirements for new capacity commitments and existing lease renewals.
-
Model the revenue impact of bring-up timing.
-
Evaluate and monitor non-GPU infrastructure investments.
-
Build the unit economics of the fleet.
-
Support commercial negotiations with hosts and datacenter partners.
-
Run scenario and risk analysis on the supply book.
-
Own the capacity reporting layer and post-commitment variance analysis.
Qualifications
-
4+ years of experience in finance, FP&A, corporate development, or a related analytical role.
-
Strong foundation in financial modeling and forecasting.
-
Advanced proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets modeling.
-
Comfort working with large operational datasets and BI tools.
-
Strong negotiation and communication skills.
-
Successful completion of a background check.
Requirements
-
Experience in a high-growth startup or venture-backed technology company.
-
Experience underwriting capital-intensive investments.
-
Experience with lease-versus-buy analysis, equipment financing, or revenue-share structures.
-
Experience in capacity, supply, or fleet planning.
-
SQL or hands-on experience querying large operational datasets.
-
Working knowledge of US GAAP, including lease accounting and fixed assets.
-
Experience in the AI infrastructure, cloud, or data center industry.
Benefits
-
Competitive base pay ranging from $140,000 - $180,000 USD.
-
Meaningful equity in a fast-growing company.
-
Generous medical, dental & vision plans.
-
Flexible PTO.
-
Most roles are remote work first.
-
$1,200 Home Office & Equipment Stipend.
