[Hiring] Finance Engineer @SPRCHRGR

Role Description

We're looking for someone who reads a trial balance and writes software. You'll build the client-facing financial tools for our fractional CFO firm:

• Interactive dashboards and forecasting models
• AI assistants that answer finance questions from live accounting data
• Automations that take real recurring work off our clients' plates

We're small, we move fast, and we build our own tools instead of buying and configuring someone else's platform.

Qualifications

• Real depth in accounting, financial statements, month-end close, receivables and payables, reconciliation, how a general ledger actually works.
• CPA or CMA is a strong signal; demonstrated judgment matters more.
• You write and maintain real code and real database queries.
• Experience building AI tools, not just using them.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree with a focus in Accounting, Finance, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 10+ years of combined experience across accounting or finance and software or systems development.
• CPA or CMA preferred, not required.
• Proficiency in SQL preferred, not required.
• Experience with at least one accounting system in depth, such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, Sage Intacct, or Dynamics.
• Clear and concise communication, both written and verbal.
• Comfortable working independently in a fully remote environment.
