[Hiring] Director, Transaction Advisory Services @Intrinsic

Role Description

Somewhere between a Big 4 TAS practice and a lean boutique firm that punches well above its weight, Intrinsic has built something different. We are looking for a Director to lead financial due diligence engagements from the front:

• Owning the analytical work
• Leading client conversations
• Developing junior talent
• Contributing to the continued growth of the TAS practice

This is not a title with layers of bureaucracy above it. Directors at Intrinsic have meaningful authority over engagements, direct access to PE sponsors and deal teams, and a real seat at the table as we build.

If you have logged significant reps in buy-side and sell-side diligence, can lead a quality of earnings analysis as instinctively as breathing, and are energized by the idea of doing that work inside a firm where your contributions are visible and your ownership stake grows alongside the firm's success, this is worth your attention.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressive experience in financial due diligence at a Big 4 TAS or Deals practice, a national advisory firm, or a comparable transaction advisory environment
• Demonstrated track record leading quality of earnings analyses, net working capital assessments, and full-scope financial due diligence engagements with limited supervision
• Deep command of US GAAP as applied in transaction contexts: EBITDA normalization, working capital mechanics, debt and debt-like structuring, and purchase agreement negotiation considerations
• Broad industry exposure across middle-market transactions: manufacturing, distribution, business services, technology, consumer, and related sectors
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred (active or eligible)
• Advanced Excel proficiency and comfort working with large, complex datasets under deal-driven timelines

• You develop people deliberately: feedback is specific, timely, and directed at raising capability, not just completing the deliverable
• You are entrepreneurial: you do not wait for processes to be handed to you; you help build them

Our Healthcare Transaction Advisory practice works at the intersection of middle-market PE and healthcare services M&A — executing buy-side and sell-side diligence for sponsors investing across physician services, behavioral health, home-based care, dental, veterinary, and other care delivery businesses.
