Role Description
The Director, Strategic Pricing & Analytics serves as a key business partner to Health Plan Relations (HPR), Revenue Cycle Management, Operations, Finance, and Executive Leadership, leading the organization's payer contract modeling, chargemaster governance, and price transparency analytics functions. This role provides financial and operational insights that support payer negotiations, pricing decisions, reimbursement optimization, and integration activities. The Director is responsible for establishing analytical standards, ensuring data integrity, developing team capabilities, and advancing the organization's pricing and reimbursement analytics programs.

Essential Responsibilities:

Lead payer contract modeling activities, directing the development, maintenance, and governance of reimbursement models while ensuring consistency, accuracy, scalability, and actionable insights across all markets and service lines.

Serve as a player-coach by remaining actively engaged in complex reimbursement modeling, financial analysis, and payer negotiation support while mentoring and developing team members in modeling methodologies and analytical best practices.

Direct chargemaster development, maintenance, and pricing governance to support revenue integrity, compliance, and reimbursement optimization.

Partner with departmental leadership to develop and enhance price transparency reporting, dashboards, and market intelligence capabilities.

Oversee the aggregation, validation, and interpretation of pricing and reimbursement data to support payer negotiations, market assessments, and executive decision-making.

Lead and direct analytics staff to meet business needs that support achieving department and organizational goals and objectives.

Establish and maintain standards, controls, and governance processes that ensure the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of payer modeling, reimbursement analytics, chargemaster management, and price transparency reporting.

Represent HPR on integration committees associated with acquisitions, de novo centers, mergers, and center consolidations, providing reimbursement, pricing, chargemaster, and payer contract expertise to support successful integrations.

Lead ad hoc reimbursement analyses and other analytical projects requested by leadership to support business planning and operational initiatives.

Drive continuous improvement through talent development, process optimization, reporting enhancements, and advancement of analytical tools and technologies.
Qualifications

Expertise in healthcare industry, managed care contracts, reimbursement methodologies, and pricing strategies.

Demonstrated ability to build and audit sophisticated financial models, analyze large healthcare datasets, develop reporting solutions, and translate findings into actionable business recommendations.

Strong critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to assess reimbursement, pricing, and contracting scenarios and provide sound business recommendations.

Fluency in Microsoft Office applications with advanced Excel skills required; strong Microsoft Office, Access, relational databases, and reporting tools a plus.

Demonstrated ability to design, develop, and implement routine and custom reporting.

Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with C-suite and executive leadership.

Excellence in delivering projects on time and with the desired results through a structured project management approach.
Requirements

Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Finance, Accounting, Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related discipline. Advanced degree (MBA, MHA, or equivalent) preferred.

Minimum 7 years of experience in health care or health plan analytics.

Working knowledge of ambulatory surgery payer contract methodologies.

Expertise in Excel-based modeling, analysis, financial reporting or data analytics required.

Experience leading a team to achieve business objectives.
