Role Description

The Director, Finance Systems Strategy and Transformation serves as the enterprise leader responsible for evolving the Finance technology stack and data architecture in alignment with the shift to Artificial Intelligence (AI) and intelligent automation. This role acts as a senior advisor and transformation leader to Finance leadership across various domains.

• Owns the multi-year Finance transformation roadmap.
• Leads programs and projects focused on delivering measurable business outcomes.
• Partners closely with process engineers, data engineers, and enterprise architecture.
• Requires deep expertise in finance systems architecture and AI trends.
• Translates complex business requirements into scalable technology solutions.

What you will do

• Serve as the primary transformation leader across Finance domains.
• Own and maintain the multi-year Finance Transformation roadmap.
• Lead complex, cross-functional programs and projects from concept through hypercare.
• Partner closely with process engineers to identify improvement opportunities.
• Develop and document business requirements.
• Evaluate build versus buy decisions across Finance domains.
• Partner with Finance leads to define target operating models.
• Collaborate with data engineers on data governance and quality standards.
• Lead forward-thinking AI initiatives across the Finance function.
• Ensure alignment to governance and control frameworks for AI and automation.
• Architect the evolution of the Finance technology stack.
• Drive vendor evaluations and Requests for Proposal (RFPs).
• Work closely with the Finance Systems team to manage vendor relationships.
• Partner with enterprise architecture, integration, and security teams.
• Lead stakeholder communications and executive updates.
• Define and track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for transformation initiatives.
• Provide day-to-day guidance for direct reports.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in finance transformation or enterprise technology leadership roles.
• Demonstrated experience evolving finance technology stacks.
• Deep hands-on experience with core finance platforms.
• Proven experience leading process re-engineering efforts.
• Strong understanding of data governance and modern data architectures.
• Experience evaluating and implementing AI-enabled Finance solutions.
• Proven success developing business requirements and delivering technology-based solutions.
• Excellent project management and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and serve as the design authority.
• Bachelor's Degree in IT, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
