[Hiring] Credit Assessor @Crown Lending

Role Description

As a Credit Assessor, you are responsible for assessing new home loan applications, ensuring they meet lender policy and serviceability requirements before submission. You will prepare, submit, and manage applications through to formal approval, liaising with lenders and internal teams to resolve any issues. Your attention to detail and strong understanding of lending policy will help deliver quality outcomes for our clients while ensuring applications progress as efficiently as possible.

• Assess home loan applications, liaising with Sales Consultants and Support Staff to obtain outstanding information or documentation.
• Prepare and package loan applications for submission to the wholesale funder.
• Act as the primary point of contact with the funder’s assessor, responding to queries and coordinating any additional documentation required.
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with Sales Consultants, the wholesale funder, and solicitors to facilitate smooth application and settlement processes.

KPIs:

• Time taken from deal received to deal approval
• Increasing Approval rates / Decreasing decline rates
• Striving for positive feedback from Sales Consultants

This is a full-time, remote position, open to candidates located anywhere in Australia.

Qualifications

• Strong credit knowledge: An in-depth understanding of our wholesale funder’s credit policies and a solid working knowledge of the major banks’ lending policies, enabling confident assessment of loan scenarios and accurate guidance to Sales Consultants.
• Confidence with technology: Technology is at the heart of how we operate at Crown Money. You’ll need to quickly learn and confidently use our systems, particularly HubSpot, along with our other technology platforms, to work efficiently and deliver the best outcomes for our clients.
• Proficiency in using ApplyOnline or similar mortgage origination platforms.
• Proficiency with loan origination software and CRM systems (e.g., HubSpot).
