[Hiring] Cost Estimator @RTX

Role Description

Collins Aerospace is looking for a Cost Estimator who will be responsible for generating recurring cost estimates and providing analysis services in support of business proposals, design to cost efforts, engineering changes and should-cost estimates. The candidate will be required to:

• Coordinate and collaborate with contracts, program management, engineering, supply chain, plant sites and pricing.
• Collect and analyze data.
• Create compliant estimate packages or analysis.
• Assist with the creation of new estimating tools/processes.
• Actively participate in continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience.
• Knowledge of MS Office with stronger emphasis in MS Excel-Pivot Tables, formulas, macros.
• Familiar with Manufacturing Processes.
• Familiar with BOMs, product structures and reading engineering drawings.

Requirements

• Previous experience in cost estimation.
• Knowledge of SAP.
• Understanding of materials, labor and overhead rates, standards, material and or learning factors.
• Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma and or CORE.
